A full office buildout means starting with an empty tenant space and delivering a finished, occupiable workplace. For Aflac that covered the complete interior: partition layout, ceilings, lighting, mechanical and electrical distribution, joinery and final finishes. The brief called for a workplace with real personality rather than a neutral corporate shell, so colour and material choices carried as much weight as the technical fit-out.
Architectural floor to ceiling glass at the conference room wall and entrance doors does more than look sharp. Full-height glazing borrows daylight from the perimeter into the core of the floorplate, keeps enclosed rooms from feeling like sealed boxes, and lets a smaller footprint read as a larger space. It also demands accuracy: glazing systems are unforgiving of out-of-plumb framing, so the partitions behind them have to be set precisely before the glass is ever measured.
The training room millwork was built to a glossy white finish, which is one of the least forgiving specifications in commercial joinery. High-gloss surfaces show every substrate imperfection and every variation in installation, so the cabinetry had to be manufactured and set to a tight tolerance. Coordinating millwork with power, data and lighting positions before installation is what keeps that kind of finish looking deliberate rather than improvised.
