Yes! Our name suggests we only work on the inside of buildings, but this isn’t the case. If you have exterior work to be completed in addition to your interior renovation we can handle them as well. This includes things like exterior wheelchair ramps, painting, concrete work, windows, roof repair and more.

Interior Buildouts specializes in a wide variety of projects, from remodels to full buildouts. We handle all types of interior construction, including office buildings, warehouses, shopping centers, malls, and more. For examples of our work, please visit our projects page.

Interior Buildouts was founded in 2007 by Joe Hodgins. After two decades of experience as a project manager at various construction companies, Joe decided to launch his own firm. With a passion for interior construction, he established IBI with the goal of becoming Jacksonville’s leading interior contractor. While our initial projects focused solely on office renovations and buildouts, we have since expanded to encompass a wide range of commercial work.

We service the four county area of NE Florida: Duval, Clay, Nassau and St. Johns.

Yes, we hold Certified Florida Building Contractor’s Licenses. Our License numbers areCBC026214and CBC1266743. We are also fully covered on General Liability Insurance and Workers Compensation. This paperwork can be made available to you upon request.

In contrast, traditional approaches like design-bid-build requires the client to handle the design and construction separately. Our Process

No, you don’t need any plans before contacting us. We will schedule a free consultation with you and go over any design needs for your project. It is recommended to meet with us before engaging with architects. Our in-house design services are more cost-effective, potentially saving you money to invest directly into your project.

Each project is overseen by one or more on-site superintendents and led by a project manager. This team collaborates closely to ensure that every aspect of the job meets and exceeds construction standards. We are fully transparent throughout the construction process and are committed to developing your trust in us to deliver exceptional quality.

At the conclusion of each project, the project manager and superintendent conduct a final walkthrough to ensure that the finished result meets your expectations. We will also supply all required documentation and warranties for your new space. Should any issues arise after the project is completed, Interior Buildouts remains committed to supporting you and addressing any concerns for a full year.

Yes, we can manage the permitting process and secure the necessary approvals for your construction project in accordance with local regulations.
