Construction Superintendent
Our construction company specializes in interior renovations within commercial/industrial buildings including offices, restaurants, banks, and retail stores. We create beautiful spaces while focusing on timely completion and customer satisfaction. The Construction Superintendent position is available to an experienced individual who can oversee, manage and direct all aspects of a project from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and organization skills, and a desire to produce high quality results.
I already have the following Knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position.
- Hold basic carpenter / craftsman skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Self-starter who delivers results.
- Able to read plans, understand and share technical information.
I have the following experience which is needed for this position:
- Experience in metal framing, hanging and drywall finishing.
- Experience with acoustical ceiling systems.
- Installation of doors, frames and hardware.
- Experience of selective interior demolition.
My duties and responsibilities in this position are:
- Maintaining a clean, safe and secure jobsite.
- Coordinate and direct all trades on the job. Checking and verifying dimensions with design and shop drawings.
- Checking for quality and requirements to pass inspections.
- Communicate with Project manager to maintain schedule and budget.
- Coordinate / schedule inspections and meet with inspectors.
- Submit weekly time sheets, with an understanding of cost codes.
- Assist in Project Close out. Complete all loose ends
Minimum Job Requirements:
- 2 years of construction supervisory experience required
- Able to perform the following activities: standing and walking for long periods of time, stooping, bending, climbing (ladder, scaffolding, steps, etc.)
- Working overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects
- Proven leadership and supervisory capability is required
- High school diploma required
- Driver’s license and vehicle required
- Drug Test is Required
- Background checks required
